MTG expands its front shovel specific GET options for mining excavators

New MTG SYSTEMS / TWINMET intermediate adapter and PROMET lip shroud variants expand MTG’s GET options especially designed for front shovel applications that are suitable for heavy mining excavators with an operating weight of 250 – 700 t.

New MTG SYSTEMS / TWINMET intermediate adapter and PROMET lip shroud variants expand MTG’s GET options especially designed for front shovel (FS) applications that are suitable for heavy mining excavators with an operating weight of 250 – 700 t.

Their improved material distribution for FS applications results in more wear material at the bottom to provide longer operational time while providing the same penetration capabilities as backhoe options.

New TWINMET intermediate adapters MT-FS:

· Available in sizes TM3/2 and TM5/6.
· About 11% more wear material at the bottom.
· Less need to rotate intermediate adapter results in less and quicker downtime.
· TM3/2 is suitable for cast and plate lip excavators with an operating weight of 250-500 t such as the model PC4000* or CAT6050*.
· TM5/6 is suitable for cast lip excavators with an operating weight of 350-700 t, for example the models PC5600* or CAT6060*.
· Same locking pin and retainer as backhoe versions.

New PROMET FS lip shrouds:

· Available for lip thickness of 160 mm.
· Optimized shape and wear material distribution offering more wear material aligned to the front part of the lower leg.
· Improved wear material ratio and durability for front shovel specific applications.
· Set consisting of central, delta-left, and delta-right lip shrouds.
· Shrouds incorporate a wear indicator and are compatible with the innovative and hammerless PROMET III locking.
· Suitable for plate lip excavators with an operating weight of 250-500 t such as the models PC4000* or CAT6050*.
