The COMET tooth system is unique for its class. As the only truly hammerless system for small construction machines, it is setting new standards regarding safety and maintenance-friendliness.

The system consists of weld-on adapters, reversible teeth and an innovative locking pin.

The curved pin joins both components and an integrated elastomer retainer with flap retention provides a visual and acoustic locking confirmation and prevents from tooth losses. The result is a carefree, hammerless tooth system that makes assembly and change-outs very safe, quick and easy. Only two assembly steps are necessary without the need of a special tool.

The COMET disassembly is equally hammerless, very easy in two steps and only requires a regular flat screwdriver: first unlock the flap retention and then lever out the pin.

A range of adapter and tooth designs provide optimal application possibilities for small construction machines.

The self-sharpening tooth designs offer a high level of penetration throughout their wear life and the reversible teeth allow an even longer-lasting digging performance.

The system has been optimized to increase wear resistance and durability. The tooth box design absorbs most of the abrasion caused by the material flow and creates a kind of protective area behind the tooth. This reduced abrasion preserves the adapter and welding seams from wear and results in a longer wear life of the adapter.

In comparison with the KINGMET system, the COMET adapters have on average 30% larger nose contact areas. More contact results in a better tooth stabilization and less plastic deformation increasing the wear life of the adapter.
