A new wing shroud variant is joining the PROMET family to offer more diversity and application possibilities especially for buckets of hydraulic excavators (200 to 1.000 t) with sidewall thicknesses between 80 to 140 mm.

The new UX-S wing shroud impresses through a robust and symmetric body with an optimal wear material distribution to provide maximum resistance in heavy-duty applications. Due to its horizontal symmetry, the same shroud can be flipped around and applied to both bucket side walls. Thereby one-sided wear can be balanced to maximize wear life.

The key difference to the other PROMET wing shrouds (models U and UX) is the locking system. The UX-S wing shroud incorporates the hammerless PROMET III locking that consists of a weld-on base, a locking, and weld-on stoppers. Therefore, the installation does not require any holes in the bucket’s side walls saving the drilling effort and maintaining the bucket’s full structural stability. This results in much easier maintenance, maximum reliability as well as quick and easy change-outs.
