After several years of field experience in iron ore, coal, copper and gold mines around the world, the TERRA cast lips have shown an outstanding performance: More than 30.000 working hours without incidents, 4% increase in productivity as well as a considerable increase in machine availability due to less and shorter downtimes. Numbers that speak for themselves and underline the advanced technology of the TERRA cast lips.

Three reasons for the outstanding performance of TERRA cast lips:
- Highest quality MTG Steel made in Europe with an optimal balance of hardness and toughness provides maximum strength and wear resistance.
- State-of-the-art TERRA design with optimized wear material distribution, reduced weight and increased penetration. Large contact areas for cast lip specific G.E.T. with round transitions distribute stress evenly and further strengthen critical areas.
- The high-performance TWINMET tooth system and specific PROMET cast lip shrouds optimally protect critical areas and offer safe and quick maintenance because of their hammerless locking system. Two wear package versions are available: Penetration and Heavy-Duty.
The TERRA cast lips range includes sizes from 148” to 201” which covers almost all heavy mining machinery from 450 to 1.000 t. Soon this range will also be extended to smaller sizes for mining excavators of 250 to 400 t. We will keep you posted!
