After 10 years in the market, MTG decided to phase-out the PROMET II locking for lip shrouds. This affects lip shrouds in the size ranges 70-90 and 100-140 which are relevant for construction and mining excavators and loaders. The new PROMETIII locking is already available for over three years and will from now on complement all MTG SYSYTEMS / PROMET lip shrouds. We therefore encourage all our dealers to adjust all new orders to the new PROMET III locking.

PROMET II locking elements consisting of the mechanical block (1MX70-90MB-A and 1MX100-140MB-A), pin and retainer (2MX70/90PR-A and 2MX100/140PR-A), will phase-out. The PROMET III locking references 2MX70-90-B and 2MX100-140-B will replace the PROMET II mechanical block and pin/retainer, in a single reference. The PROMET III weld-on base is still compatible with both locking systems.

The discontinued PROMET II references will remain available until they are removed from the price list within the next months. If you are still providing PROMET II to your customers, we recommend you consider a change to PROMET III as soon as possible. Please, do not hesitate to ask your MTG Area Manager or Customer Service Team.
