MTG expands its range of CAST LIP TERRA and TWINMET by introducing two smaller cast lip sizes that come along with a new TWINMET size 1. Both together represent a new alternative to plate lip G.E.T. options for smaller excavators of 250 - 400 t.

The field-proven Cast Lip TERRA range will grow by two new sizes. The existing sizes 5 and 7 with inside bucket dimensions ranging from 148” to 201” will be supplemented by TERRA size 1 with 116” / 2.950 mm and 136” / 3.450 mm inside bucket dimensions. This especially expands the applications possibilities of cast lips to smaller excavators such as the EX3600*, PC4000* or CAT6040*.

In the same way as the related bigger cast lip sizes, the new smaller TERRA sizes incorporate the benefits of higher productivity, reduced operational costs, longer operational time, and short downtimes. The slim design especially provides a good penetration and the optimal distribution of wear material results in a weight reduction.

To complete the cast lip wear package, MTG offers the high-performance TWINMET tooth system in combination with reliable PROMET lip and wing shrouds. The new TWINMET size 1 is a further supplement especially for the smaller cast lip sizes. In contrast to the other TWINMET sizes (3/2, 5/4, 5/6, 7/4 and 7/6), size 1 only consists of 2-parts: tooth + weld-on nose (no intermediate adapter). This offers the TWINMET benefits of a highly robust and reversible tooth system with hammerless dual pin locking and makes it especially suitable for the small cast lips operating in terrains with low to medium levels of abrasion and impacts.
