After 5 years of intense development and successful field tests within Europe and Australia, we are very proud to launch our first series of products and services related to MTG DIGITAL SOLUTIONS.

Our Digital Solutions encompass different lines of research and development to bring the mining industry state-of-the-art technology made by ourselves. This is a further step in our commitment to innovation and to delivering premium products and services to our customers. But it doesn't end here: new series are in development, and we are looking forward to more releases in the near future.

Today we launch our GET DETECTION Series to provide our customers increased safety and peace of mind by preventing any incident in the crusher caused by a GET detachment and its adverse consequences. Based on extensive laboratory bench testing and field tests, we can state that MTG’s solution detects a possible GET detachment in less than 3 seconds, with a very high level of reliability, preventing a subsequent fall into the crusher.

GET DETECTION ecosystem

The new GET DETECTION series includes a suite of devices that go with new GET references of the TERRA, TWINMET and PROMET product families. The new GET designs enable the addition of sensors and actuators to allow a digital monitoring of the entire cast lip configuration.

Thanks to a robust digital ecosystem, the signals emitted by the GET sensors are transmitted via antennas and processed by an electronic control unit. A tablet in the machine’s cabin displays the GET’s live status and alerts the operator in the event of an incident by a visual and acoustic signal.

New Business Model

In addition to selling premium GET through our strong dealer network, MTG will start offering software and digital remote services to mine sites that provide an added value by increasing safety and GET insights.

Ready to order in selected markets

For a controlled roll-out of this new technology including extensive trainings, MTG has decided to start selling the GET DETECTION series first to the following mining markets: Australia, Europe, and the USA.

GET DETECTION has been especially designed for hydraulic mining excavators with an operating weight of more than 250 t (TWINMET for cast lips in sizes 1, 5 and 7). Further tooth systems and GET components will follow and will be compatible with the GET Detection suite.
