With the continued objective of improving efficiency and durability of its wear parts, MTG has developed the new MTG Systems Starmet CX design for low impact applications (sandy, clay loam and/or pre-exploded terrain), achieving the best balance between durability and penetration.

The new StarMet CX tooth is available firstly in size 500 and offers the following features:

• A high wear material ratio of above 58%*, maintaining sharpness and penetration throughout its wear life.
   
• When compared to high-impact tooth profiles, the CX design allows for increasing work hours by over 80%.
   
• It has been successfully tested for over a year in low impact terrains coal mines.
   
• It reduces fuel consumption and G.E.T. (Ground Engaging Tools) down times of the machines.
