It looks a bit different compared to the rest of MTG SYSTEMS STARMET ROPE SHOVELS teeth, but this new design incorporates an important benefit and answers the demand for a very specific mining operation. 

MTG introduces the new RSU tooth specially designed for applications with an aggressive digging angle, which turns into premature wear of the upper side. Compared to the RSX, the new RSU tooth profile has a reinforced upper surface with 7.5% more wear material while keeping the same length. This protects it optimally from such specific signs of wear, ensuring maximum durability, while maintaining a good penetration during the entire wear life.

Working closely together with the end user and the local MTG dealer makes it possible to quickly analyze the special demand and to answer the customers need for this specific mining pattern. This is a flexibility that MTG can offer due to its GET know-how, strong collaborations and its capability for customizing solutions. 

As an additional tooth design of the STARMET ROPE SHOVELS product family, the RSU is compatible with all existing adapters (size 500), which makes it applicable to Whisler 10* (WH10), Whisler 12* (WH12) as well as Berkeley* (BK6.00) lips.
