We chose the Bauma 2019 trade fair to carry out the presentation of MTG Systems CoMet, the new hammerless system for 4 to 15 tonne miniexcavators, skid steer loaders and backhoe loaders that is suitable for field and road trenching applications, even in wet and flooded terrains.

Thanks to its versatility, CoMet is also able to achieve outstanding results in different applications involving impact. The new system for construction machinery joins MTG’s suite of hammerless systems, and it will be available in sizes 5, 8, 10 and 15 at the time of launching.

A reversible system featuring a longer service life

The CoMet system’s main innovation is its symmetrical, reversible tooth that allows for two mounting positions. In this way, in the event of premature wear on one side, it is possible to invert the tooth’s position to extend its durability and that of the adapter.

Furthermore, the CoMet system’s tooth features an optimised wear material ratio that provides more durability. Its self-sharpening design improves penetration throughout the tooth’s wear life, contributing towards reduced fuel consumption and an increase in the machine’s productivity.

Auto-tightening effect locking device

The hammerless locking device features an auto-tightening effect in the main load directions, avoiding extraction forces that might cause the loss of the pin or the teeth.

Similarly, the pin being curved allows for excellent retention, working well under pressure and avoiding plastic deformation.
